I know many a drop-out who did a lot better for themselves than if they stayed in school. I myself am ultra-happy to have dropped out of CS in college to start working in the field instead.

When hiring, I give total edge to people with experience/skills over people with a degree and potential.

While some people get out of school deep in debt and with fewer and fewer jobs available without work experience, there are others who didn't pursue school who are years ahead of their peers in experience/compensation/position.

Just wanted to point that out :)

There are many people in this industry that have made millions without attending university. By the way, if you're going to be a pretentious twat and use words like acumen, you might want to spell them correctly. Otherwise, stick to words within your vocabulary. Makes you look like a jackass.
