On a real note maybe the people that have gotten or do have thier content stolen through this "Portal" oughtah create a joint group and take outfits like that out of this business.

If GUBA had $25K to just plop down for a skin I am sure there is plenty in the coffers to settle a suit for infringements.

But history usually shows its damn difficult to get an organized grassroots movement going - especially if it means getting out the wallet to fund a bunch of lawyers.

Well mainstream has been combating the problem for years now right? If anyone can combat this problem it will be adult webmasters or from our segment of the internet.

The key to securing content is worth GOLD, Pure gold as content itself is more or less worth even more than money. The money in earnings would be pheonominal and to put it bluntly would usher in the newest Bill Gates or Steven Jobs.

Good luck to those that find an answer and the companies that may or may not fight organizations that steal creative works.

When I saw the title of this thread, I figured Baghdad Bob would be appearing soon. I still have not figured out why neither Letterman or Leno has been able to get him on TV in the USA yet. I mean they arrested him, but when they found out what a flunky he was, they let him go.

True that, but...

Guba would likely mount a legal defense that would including pointing to mainstream content producers who, for one unfathomable reason or another...support their theft and copyright infringement one way or another.

They would say, "Gee, if Playboy endorses it by allowing us to advertise on their forums - why should John Q. Webmaster be up in arms about it?" After all, if Playboy has long been advocates of copyright infringement...yet now they're climbing in to the corporate bed with us - where's the justification for the small-time producers to have legal grounds to stand on?"

Although it only lasted a few hours, GFY has sent a clear message to all producers of original content with their acceptance of the Guba skin. And they certainly haven't done our case any favours.

they are counting on everyone to forget about it so they can make money. if we do that, there will be 100's of guba knock offs and the industry is doomed. no tin foil hats necessary, if you can't see it you can't recognize what a good business plan and lots of $ resources can do the paysite industry.
