Best Hotels In Vegas ??

Been checking out prices and shit. I've already stayed at The Venetian, and Treasure Island, quite liked both, Venetian obviously being the better of the two.

What other ones would you recommend ?? :)

I loved TheHotel. I have reservations at The Wynn starting next Sunday - not sure yet if I'm going though (have a dog with some health problems :( ) but supposedly they are of the same quality/price as Venetian/TheHotel

Yeah, TheHotel is my fav when I go with a bunch of friends. We stayed in the suites at the Wynn, which were really nice .... Room service there though sucked and I really enjoy ordering my breakfast room service. I have this thing about hash browns and coffee in the morning and the Wynn fucked it up, I don't know how you fuck up hash browns and coffee, but they did it. ; )

Recommendations

The Hotel, Bellagio, Caesar's, Palms (only for the crowd), Hard Rock, The Rio's not bad, Mirage, MGM, it depends on what you are looking for out of your hotel...Some have nice rooms but shitty food, others have great food but so so rooms, others have the party ambiance, but that's it....

Yeah, I've been reading up on The Wynn and it seems they are either on their game or completely screw everything up - not consistent either way. We ate at a couple of the restaurants in Jan and while the food was good, the service was good at one place (the Italian one) but TOTALLY sucked at The Buffet.

The two (expensive) drink minimum to watch a pathetic water show wasn't appreciated either :thumbsup

But they had a good rate so I figured I'd try it out.

Yeah, we stayed at the top suite (I'm not trying to brag, trying to prove a point) and we had a wedding there ... so plunked down some cash. Well we had no housekeeping the whole time. Each day I had to call and bitch to get someone up there to clean the room cause we had people up there drinking each night, etc. Finally I went down and spoke to the manager, they were nice enough to give me a credit. But come on ... you can build a multi-million golf course on the Vegas strip, but can't get housekeeping to my room after several phone calls? Then the elevators are fucked up there ... it's odd. But it really is a nice hotel. And I searched for a place to have the wedding and I still wouldn't choose another location in Vegas ... it was beautiful.

Bellagio :thumbsup

Wynn is my new top place

King Adam 02-20-2006 09:33 PM

The Palms is the only place to be.

jenstefani 02-20-2006 10:01 PM

Whatever you do, stay away from the new Hooters hotel! They are a complete train wreck! The issue with the Wynn may lie in the fact that they are new and haven't gotten their shit together yet...

next time i go its gotta be the skylofts at the mgm.. just coz i know someone

jenstefani 02-20-2006 11:14 PM

What do those go for?

i have seen them, and they look very cool. I imagine that they run around 800per night at a minimum, but not sure...

Bellagio is the most elegant if you like that style. I've always liked The Mirage and Caesars Palace.

Kroy 02-21-2006 12:02 AM

Paris! is pretty nice, service is so-so and it's pretty crowded. Food is fabulous, though, both at the top level restaurant and at that little "cafe" outside.
MGM has pretty good service, they like ballers there.
Ballys...run! Terrible service, old crappy rooms.

From the outside, i.e. not being a guest there, just visiting inside, I can say Bellagio, Caesar's, Mandalay, Mirage, Luxor has a nice visiting area, but I guess staying there where you can see everything from the corridors, is not a good idea ...
