Pornwolf 02-20-2006 04:30 PM

Incredible move. I can't believe it did so badly at the box office.

Kevsh 02-20-2006 04:38 PM

I thought it was so-so, nothing really special. The brother angle at the end was far too predictable, for one thing and one in many cliched moments.

But it was a break from most of the recycled trash Hollywood is coming out with so it should get respected for that alone!

Dirty F 02-20-2006 04:41 PM

I liked the movie. The brother thing indeed was a bit too much but other than that a great flick.

adultchica 02-20-2006 04:42 PM

I really enjoyed it as well. One of Nick's more provocative films that is for sure.

RayBonga 02-20-2006 04:44 PM

There are over 550 million firearms in worldwide circulation. That's one firearm for every twelve people on the planet. The only question is: How do we arm the other 11?

Loved it.

According to Willie Waffle of Wafflemovies.com, Lord of War is an extremely compelling tale with fantastic acting performances, great dialogue and dark humor that still makes you laugh in the middle of gripping drama.

Recommended movie indeed! I bought the 2 Disc Special Edition, had a lot more background and features on the 2nd DVD. It was worth the extra 6 bucks.

Yeah...these true-life stories are sure predictable...

BTW...this movie is based on actual events...Yuri Orlov is a real person :2 cents:

I must be the only person in the world who was disappointed then........I thought it was very slow and it just kept plodding on while I was waiting for something dramatic to happen

You're certainly not the only one. I thought it straight up sucked, it was a typical contrived piece of crap. It was "Blow" with guns instead of drugs. I regret wasting my time on it.

Stallion 02-21-2006 08:00 AM

I thought it was pretty good as well.
