When you call "cell to cell," do you leave messages or use missed calls?
 

I have found I rarely leave people I know messages, I just let them see it in missed calls.

Many cell phone companies don't let you delete the messages until you listen in full (I suspect they are trying to drive up minutes), so it is a pain to get messages.

I guess it depends, really, on whether or not the call is important or I'm just calling to say hey.

I dont use the answering system, have call display so if I know the person, I will call them back.

It depends. Sometimes i don't really need to talk to them - so i will pop them the message. If i need to chat with them i usually just let them return the 'missed call'.

Pretty much the way I think.....

I prefer for people to send me an SMS message than leaving a voice mail. I'll get it faster and can answer much faster.

From now on, if anyone wants to reach me at a show, its SMS or email to my cell. When I'm in a club or bar or just talking to people, last thing on my mind is answering my phone. Send me a message and I can reply within 5 minutes, its much faster than checking voice mail and less intrusive than getting a call.

My freinds and business partners have been texting each other since 98. It's rare that I recieve unecessary calls from people.

But, for some reason girls like to call and text then text some more, then call some more. Then call again. Then text and text and text. And they don't really want anything but to talk. I'm not a grinch but c'mon! Cut it out ladies!

I'm all about SMS/IM on the phone. if someone calls, but doesn't leave a message, then it wasn't important enough to call back about.

I hate leaving voice mails... When calling someone and they don't pick up, I generally will only leave a txt message. I do not like to leave voicemails.

I personally hate getting voicemails too. I tell someone calling me NOT to leave a message but send me a TXT message. If they don't know how to send a txt message, I tell them them to email the message to my phone (phonenumber)@messaging.sprintpcs.com.

Ofcourse, I still get the odd ball person who still leaves a voicemail. They don't get checked right away so they catch on if they want a fast reply.

I usually leave a message, often people don't recognize the phone number, and just ignore it... I rarely pick up the phone, unless I know who is calling...

I leave a msg if the person doesn't know my cell # well.

Otherwise let the missed calls speak for me :)

The only time i'll leave a message is if im calling with something important.

I don't have a voicebox feature in my phone. for me if I can't take the call, I can't take the call.

missed calls will do. i seldom leave messages unless it is a do-or-die situation

I leave a message on a cell more frequently than an answering machine. When I call someone's landline and get the machine, I never leave one. I figure they'll see it on caller ID.
