They have used something like this in semi trucks for some time. They are pretty cool, except that if you were to have a blowout or a flat, I think the sensor that sits in the wheel can get damaged and they arent cheap. I looked at this a long time ago and I cant remember just what I discovered about that, but there was a drawback somewhere.

Also, I wonder about the accuracy of the gauges.
