Embedded videos on WordPress?
 

Is there anything special that needs to be done to embed a video in WordPress? I've been trying but it fucks with the page and ends up coming up blank.

Seems like that will only open the video in a popup window? I just need the video to be embedded in the post.

I think you need to use a page for that ? just link your post to a new made wp page

Just hit google and mix up the keywords. wmv+embed+wordpress+plugin
I have seen a plugin for it before, but I would think you can do it other ways.

You can take standard html code you use for embedding video on a normal page and just make that part of your post.

If you want to change it to auto play you need to change autoplay to a 1 in the
mediafilter.php file

Odd. I tried that w/ youtube videos and it doesn't work. With that, the code that I put in just shows up on the blog. (the code that is)

Ack. It works now but it fucks with my entire layout. Spoke too soon. :(

Might try two things. Shut off the fix xhtml check, and under user/admin shut off rich text editing see if that does it. Im still working on getting the .flv self hosted videos to work right. Almost got it. :Oh crap

just use html code with embed

It doesnt work with wordpress on some stuff.
