Bikini babe in Niagara River gorge [PICS]
 

So there we are, tryin' to do a nude model shoot in a remote area of the lower Niagara River gorge...and along comes a jetboat full of camera-happy tourists.

I was just thinking the same thing.

NY is on the other side of the river (where its cold). These were shot on the Canadian side (where it is always sunny and warm).

If it were shot from the U.S. side, the river would flow from left to right. :winkwink:

So you shot using the most beautiful country as the background.

Well...since I live within a 10-min. drive of the Falls, sure. :)

As beautiful as the scenery is in the Gorge, the area we shot in (known as Devil's Hole) is a rather rugged hike to get to, though. Especially carrying all the camera gear (dslr and video), tripod, several model outfits and everything else. The trails leading down to the area are strewn with glacial-deposit escarpment rocks and massive boulders.

And it was close to 90F that day...and very humid.

If it weren't a class-5 rapid - I'd have definitely gone for a cool dip in the river, heh.

A tour company has a fleet of big jetboats that shuttle tourists up and down the river gorge during the summer. Check out their website for some amazing shots of the boats:

The day we did the photoshoot above, there were also half a dozen guys on jet-skiis doing jumps and flips through the rapids. I caught a few of them in the background in a couple of shots.
