An asshole sent me a virus. How to read e-mail headers?

Ok.. Just received an e-mail from an asshole.. There was a file cuu.bat attached to it.

It was supposed to run as soon as I open it but it didn't..

Anyone know where this is coming from?

Thanks..

Also, any info about cuu.bat? It was not a .txt file.

Hi,This is a special good tool<br>
I wish you would enjoy it.

chances are they are infected and don't know their computer is sending out those mails. in fact, that is 99% likely. also (keep in mind that i know nothing about email faking), but it is possible for a program (virus) to fake the sender details.

agree... if you can see who sent you the virus - it probably wasn't him...

I use Norton antivirus 2002 and it identifies known virsus's when receiving incoming E-mail. You apparently opened an attachment. I never open an attachment, even if Norton does not identify it as a virus.

You are probably infected (maybe not), so I would advise getting Norton antivirus 2002, install it and scan, before proceeding with anything else.
