Sat around and watched a guy sing and play accoustic guitar and it was rude to talk?

Fucken weird ass party tonight, but everyone made it seem like it was normal.

I mean shouldn't the band be optional to watch or in the background?

Yeah. The fix was I grabbed the mike and made sure everybody had a turn.
