Anyone know how to do this in XP SP2...
...change the max amount of simultaneous downloads from 2 to whatever?
All I can find is a way to do it in the original XP, fucking with the registry doesn't work in SP2. |
I never come across this problem, sorry

http://www.totalidea.com/frameset-tweakxp.htm This software will do it. Trial is free can use it like 35 times. Once you change your settings they dont change back if trial expires. :winkwink:

On this guys page, about halfway down he has a registry hack to do what you want. I haven't used it myself.

What the hell are you talking about? I can download 20 things at once w/o any registry tweaks or hacks.

Servers place a limit on how many items you can download simultaneoulsy....ive never heard of windows doing it...

Windows XP SP 2 has a TCP download limit of 10 connections per second, this inhibits functionality of some programs like port scanners, file sharing etc.

It's server side. Some sites allow a max of 2 (or insert a number). Some don't. It can vary, but it's on their end. I've never heard of it in XP either.
