Oh good thanks! I was trying to figure out how to make sure I covered all the common snags. Guess I got it.

BuckNaked 02-19-2006 03:49 AM

nice job, I've always wondered how the extract works, I always do it by hand with an eraser and always lose the fine lil hairs...

doing this as an added layer makes it look soo much beter :thumbsup

I don't know, I am more of a path-tool kind of cutter outer.

Extract is a very usefull tool, and a very nice tutorial you made there :)

But for print work this tool would not be used ;)

Zester 02-19-2006 05:15 AM

why isn't there an "Exarct" filter in my filter list?

Most likely you are using an older version of Photoshop, so it should be located in "Select" instead of "Filter" :)

Thanks for clearing that up, couldn't remember if it was Image/extract or select/extract :)

Been a long time since I used 6.0 :pimp

Thanks buddy. We get over 10.000 hits (hits, not uniques) per day, so there's quite some folks you'll tutor!

Young 02-19-2006 12:15 PM

Mark I knew about the extraction tool but I checked out the tutorial anyways.

Only one suggestion...You should probaly put multiple directions on one page. I have followed tutorials in the past built in the same way and it kind of becomes a pain in the butt alt&tabbing back and fourth for one direction per page.

Other than that...awesome work.

Thanks. For now the only reason I spread it out is to try to get more pages for SEO relevance. I think what I'll do is get them into something like word and offer a full length download for people so they can keep a copy on their machine all on one page.

Hi Mark,

Will you be submitting the tut you started at kromefx? I see it is in queue, but I am wondering if you'll finish it?
