Whats the difference between bbw and plumper?
 

If a model is a little chubby, say 30 pounds overweight, is she either a bbw or a plumper? or neither?

I believe someone who falls in that range would be classified as either chubby or plumper.

I don't claim to be an expert on the niche by any means. But I do know that girls who get raked over the coals on here for being "too fat" would be considered far too skinny by most bbw lovers.

Plumper is a little heavy. BBW is just plain fat.

Shades of grey i know but for surfers there are clear preferences between the two.

bBW = 190 pounds

Bbw = 320 pounds

I would say the difference is political correctness...

weight essentially....plumper is chubby/thick and up to about 200lbs. Over 200lbs you are in BBW territory. Once a women/model looks to be over the 300 range you can start to call her 'supersized' which is its own classification in the BBW community.

I weigh under 250 now, but I've been called out for being "plumper" not BBW because of the way I'm built..I'm really solid underneath and I just carry more weight in my ass then in my belly.

It's tricky. But seriously, if you are marketing to BBW fans with a girl who is just a bit chunky, your conversions will suffer. BBW fans like FAT women, not just thick chicks. There is a whole other, probably wider market for thick, chubby, and plump women, but a BBW site should be filled with fat rolls.

Ok so say im submitting a gallery with a woman who is zoftig, about 25-30 pounds overweight.
Not really fat, but she's got some junk in the trunk and very full tits. do you think its ok to submit her as plumper?

If she is that size and doesn't have a big belly then she should be fine as a plumper.

BBW = "Big Beautiful Women" and plumper could mean anything

size 11 to 18 plumper 18 and up bbw

Bbw = naively/ignorantly think they are attractive and trying to make a buck on it
Plumper = knows their fat and hideous and trying to make a buck on it

I'm with you chase, i'm 190lbs and a lot of the girls in the bbw industry say im a plumper too even though i think im too big to be a plumper.

Some women just carry their weight differently. I was watching MTV the other day and there was a fat camp show on, and I weigh more than a few girls on there that looked like they would be bigger than me. My ex and I were talking about it, and we decided that it has to do with the belly. One girl there weighed 33 pounds less than me and we were really surprised at that, but her weight was mainly in her belly-her booty was flat and her legs were smallish. I guess it kind of tricks the eye when your weight is distributed more evenly, or something.

Neither of us has a very big belly, relatively speaking, so I'm thinking that's why. Look at several other girls who are considered plumpers-Silky Angela and Giselle come to mind-they are sporting bellies bigger then your average porn girls, but a lot smaller then your average BBW.

It's really no wonder that guys with the attitudes some here have towards this niche make no cash from it, or think they can make no cash from it. If only they were a little less judgemental for their own wallet's sake, they'd see how profitable the niche can be. But hey, no harm, no foul...just means more dough goes into out own pockets.:thumbsup

Interesting thread. I agree that the majority attitude on this board is that skinny Hollywood type porn girls are the only money-makers. But my guy loves variety and likes to look at older women, hairy women, curvy women, the whole gamut. There's money in EVERY niche!
