I need/want good music for my sites.

I need to find a place or person that I can buy an unlimited use license for my websites on videos and for some possible DVD production.

anybody have any knowledge, experience, or desire to assist me with this ?

Thank you,

Joe Jekel

Well I was hoping to Stay under $500.00 amonth for two sites right now.

I have not done this before so I really do not have any idea on what a good budget is to be honest. I was hoping to find out from someone that does this, or may of it being done already.

I put a call in to BMI and ASCAP yesterday to try to get some information. ( we used to use them in the stripclubs)

I was told they do issue internet licenses from BMI , ( no word on ASCAP yet )
ut for DVD production permission I would need to get direct approval from the producers of each individual song I used, abd that the producer would set the pricing not the royalty use agency in that particular case.

They transferred me to an agent to help me with the website info, and I left a voicemail . I have not recieved a call back from either company yet ( it was yester afternoon I called)

Then on X P E E P s a few DJ, and original music guys said they had interest *( they made a post offering out their services but left no pricing)

I tried to contact two of them and have not heard back yet either .

So I was hoping the great GFY machine might have some helpful info on my search.

I am open to suggestions or ideas.

yeah, webcasters license is alot diff than using ascap, bmi, or harry fox artists for commercial materials that are distributed via hardgoods. you're better off getting one of us to do something for you. for original music it takes a bit longer to actually sitdown, write something intelligent, and put it to the content. i hate cookie cutter stuff and wont do it unless i have the time to put my heart into it so people hear it and it sounds super pro. i can maybe hook you up with some other people that i know. what music styles? or do you want scenes scored?

Probably a little of both.

For The earl Miller site, i will use like maybe some sensual jazz compositions, and some upbeat type of stuff ( nothing to hard or house oriented)

But for our new contract star solo site , I will want like some good house and banging type fast beat stuff.

and some will be cookie cutter just give it to my video editor and let him throw it in as he sees fit.

and for some production I will weant individual scores.

Lets talk about it when you get back from costa rica OK ?

I've got 1,002 dance club dj's members in one of my music site forums now.

Pop me your e-mail and I'll hook you up. These are the electronic music type guys that create the high energy dance songs and club re-mixes.

Got some real talent and a huge downloads section.

Cheap soundtracks

If you are looking to try out a few songs, go to Shockwave-sound dot com. Their licenses are very generous (up to 5000 DVD's in some cases) and most song or sound collections are 49.95 including music loops. Lots of different types of music as well....
