And they are in use too - someone in a 156 got caught speeding and he thought it was a joke because he didn't think real police would drive in a lambo...

They use them for emergencies.

FHP ( Florida Highway patrol ) in the Miami area has 1 porsche, 5 or 6 camaros, 1 hummer ( the real one, not the H2 crap ) and 1 mustang with a 7.0 litre engine. All of them are fast as fuck. and then they have a bunch of broncos for off road.

Its not only the engines that are "police package" but the cars/trucks are fitted with upgraded tranny, suspension, tires, etc....
