I want to anonymously buy a domain?

Is there anyone or a company that offers this service that you can recommend?

Thanks

Smart owners will ignore anonymous offers, and try to pierce through to find the true party in interest.

Having said that, you can always use:

GoDaddy offers to make your whois info anonmymous.

go to your local store by a pre paid visa card then go to a internet cafe and register the domain with the pre paid visa :)

There are a couple domain attorneys that can do that through foreign corps.

GeorgeK 02-17-2006 03:12 PM

Oh, I misread the original question -- I thought you were looking to make an offer on a domain owned by someone else, but make that offer anonymously.

If you just want Anonymous WHOIS, lots of registrars (GoDaddy, Moniker, NSI, Tucows resellers, etc.) offer that. However, any decent lawyer (or authorities) will get through it, if there's illegal activities on the domain.

Sorry let me make this more clear.. I want to buy a domain from someone but do it anonymously so they won't know they are selling it to me. Kind of like buying something from a competitor without them knowing cause then they might not sell it :-)

I can post my question here cause it has nothing to do with adult.

Just use a fake name in your negotiations.

woj 02-17-2006 03:29 PM

Find a middle man to do it for you, once the domain is sold, the middle man just transfers the domain to you... I'm sure plenty of trustworthy people would do something like that for a few bucks...

RawAlex 02-17-2006 03:29 PM

Umm, find a neutral third party, sign a contract with them to buy the domain from them, and then get them to buy it from the original owner.

For a fee, I could possibly handle that for you :)

done it a couple of times, if you trust the person who is your middleman implicitly you can just do the deal on a handshake. However you can draw up a simple one page option to buy contract. Get the middle man to sign it. Make sure their is a payment method that can't be refused (wire transfer into his account) that way if he tries to screw you and keep the domain you can take him to court and ask for a summary judgement.

Really easy, just use an escrow account with anonymous information and make sure its tied to an account not in your name.

Register a shell business domain, a distant virtual hosting account, slap a landing page on it, use a 3rd party email account to ensure your IP is not tracked to your normal operations, etc etc etc...

or use Monte or KRL's offer, both I'm sure are beyond capable in taking care of your needs :thumbsup

Choppa 05-17-2006 09:12 PM

yeah on many domain hosts you can choose the option of hiding the whois information

madawgz 05-17-2006 09:31 PM

on namecheap it costs like 2$ to hide the whois information legally

kokach 05-18-2006 02:08 AM

If the domain will be in use for absolutely legal purposes we have an offer, which is better than simple Private Registration and it is absolutely free!
And the domain name is only 7.49 for both registration and renew!
Contact me on ICQ 10252150/10244455 if you are interested!
