Bring your umbrella to Costa Rica..

I just checked the weather, and it's sunny all the way up until Wednesday, and then the whole 4 days that the costa rica bash is going on there is rain..

Oh well, I will still make the best out of it...

Jaco beach is actually different than san jose and 2 hours from the city. heres the forecast for jaco.

http://www.costarica.com/Home/Weather/Forecast

typically in tropical environments the weather changes rapidly. rain daily is not out of the question anywhere that its tropical.

CyberAgeGary 02-17-2006 12:47 PM

It's not showing up for me, is there sunshine in the forecast?

Motherfuck!

Rainy Season in tropical areas tends to be non eventful. If it's anything like Florida during rainy season... I say bring it on :)

It rains everyday yes, but only for about 15-30 minutes maybe a couple of times throughout the day but no big deal. I prefer quick blasts of showers throughout the day as it cools stuff down nicely.

seeric 02-17-2006 01:23 PM

yeah gary it just says intermittent clouds on the days at jaco beach. which basically means like daily miami weather. come get it. tropical rain is almost as fun to me as tropical sunny days. i love the way it smells when it rains in the tropics. if it snowed it couldn't even ruin this trip for me.

Weather has been crazy this year, it's supposed to be dry season but it has been raining. Here in San Jose it has been alternating between hot days and cold days with very cold nights everyday (Im sure some of you northern dwelling people would mock what I call very cold though ;) )

Jacó will probably be sunny, but if it rains it wont be for long!

Have fun!

Nancy M00re 02-17-2006 01:51 PM

The weather forecast will change until then, I am sure

RyuLion 02-17-2006 02:25 PM

Can't go by a forecast....Weather in all Latin America is too unpredictable...

CyberAgeGary 02-17-2006 03:28 PM

Im still planning on having a great time, rain or shine, who cares, I just know some people hate the rain, I actually love it, hot weather and rain. excellent..

Costa Rican weather reports are very seldom accurate. Also, you can drive 20 minutes and have completely different weather, hot, cold, rain, clear. If you drive 2+ hours (ie. San Jose > Jaco) all bets are off, weather.com is useless.

Rain in February on the Pacific coast seems very unlikely anyway... I was just there today and it was hotter than hell.

SAM SIYC 02-20-2006 12:14 AM

Just came back from Jaco beach....was sunny and hot and warm and beautiful :upsidedow

as mentionned before in this thread......rain in february on the pacific coast is extremely rare and if it ever happens, shouldn't last at all!

anyways....the weather.com link posted now shows sunny for CRBash :

WEATHER

get ready for a blast :thumbsup

reed_4 02-20-2006 03:09 AM

It's good to be wet and wild. :)
