Are there any free dating scripts that work?

I was actually hoping there was a good open source one. Been browsing all day for paid ones and they do suck.

Maybe what you need to is hunt for the *functionality* you want in opensource code sources. Then assemble a site from functional modules. Somehow, the word "dating" attracts commercial efforts and turns off opensourcers, it seems.

I doubt you're going to find one, I've handcoded 3 community sites in the last year and the last thing on my mind was organizing my code in to easy to use libraries and making it open source.

Actually found an awesome social networking script that I'm going to use. Wasn't open source but I likes it.

Should be fairly cheap to have an open source one altered to your specs by cheap indian labor.
