I lost 8 pounds in the last month.

Unfortunately I think it all came from my tits, and I didn't have much to spare in the first place.:1orglaugh
That's why it's so easy to lose motivation; it is so slow to lose weight the healthy way. *sigh* But I'm sick right now and have jack squat for an appetite, so I don't think it'll stop me, lol.

XxXotic 02-16-2006 07:59 AM

take your normal 3 meal a day regiment and change that to 6 meals a day instead (smaller portions, same calories as you'd have in regular 3 meal)

keeps your metabolism working all day long, easiest, safest and fastest way to lose weight and keep it off (provided you're eating semi healthy and getting a little exercise)

and congrats on losing 8 lbs :)

Downtime 02-16-2006 08:00 AM

congrats, thats very cool news

chase 02-16-2006 08:04 AM

Thanks. :)

That's actually just what I'm doing, the six meal routine. I'm doing the Body For Life plan, because it's the only one I realistically will stick to long term-life long, even. I think I need to work out more, but my kids have been really sick, so I've been limited to jumping rope and such, indoors, instead of running around outside like I prefer.

I Lost a couple of pence down the back of the sofa!!
Seriously, my wife lost 3 stone in 3 months using some special pills.

that's good. I'm sure you'll be able to get back more in the swing of thngs once the kids get better. GL with the rest of your diet :thumbsup

gornyhuy 02-16-2006 08:20 AM

Jumping rope can be a bad-ass workout all by itself.

I had a dream recently and you were in it.

chase 02-16-2006 08:35 AM

Thanks. :)
Now they've got me sick, but I've gotten to the point that exercising, though tough to get started when you feel like ass, really does reduce your stress level and makes you feel better when you are done.

Jumping rope rocks-I totally get into a zone, and I can watch tv or listen to good music and just destress. I love it. Only thing is that, chicks need a *really* good snug sports bra to do it. that's why I think my boobs shrunk, lol, mine isn't as snug anymore so it's not working as well, lmao.

ricks 02-16-2006 08:00 PM

Probably just water weight, you are still fat, move on...

Peaches 02-16-2006 08:02 PM

Congrats sweetie!! :)

Unfortunately, I believe I have found what you lost - in my ass region.......

chase 02-16-2006 08:09 PM

Thanks, fellas! I'm thinking I should be about 15-20 pounds lighter for Phoenix, and if things keep rolling along at the same pace, about 30-40 more by August for the Miami show, which will be very nice, because it is hot as fuck down there and I'd like to be comfortable wearing lighter and less clothing, lol. I'm thinking by the next Vegas Internext, I should be another 30-40, since things tend to slow down the closer you get to goal.

Damn, just typing that got me all fired up again. To think by the next Phoenix show I am going to feel just fine wearing a bathing suit by the pool in front of all these highly critical people, just, well, blows my mind.

Sitting down at a computer a lot for years really makes you gain weight :( I like working with computers, but I really do hate sitting down. Funny thing is that I belonged to a gym for 2 years(expired in October, was locked in for 2 years) and only went about 20 times(friend got me to join with him and then he got a job with odd hours, so I lost motivation) and I'm losing more weight at home then I did at the gym lol. I used to have a Bowflex, but didn't use it much and sold it. I want to get some machine for building muscle too, but a lot smaller than a Bowflex.

Yep, I've put on twenty pounds since I started doing this two years ago, so from my experience it is true, it does tend to give you secretary spread, lol.

When my kids aren't sick, I usually take the older ones to school and then strap the baby into the stroller and just wander around the neighborhood for a while. I can't get the pace I'd like to with the stroller, but I can still do the cardio explained here: http://www.bodyforlife.com/exercise/cardiotraining.asp because she thinks it's fun when I run with her for a minute, then cycle back from walking fast back up to running, and so on. She wouldn't stand a steady run though, unless I had a jogging stroller, and I don't, lol.

This is the home gym that I want: http://www.iconfitness.com/max/index.html . It's really big, but I love that you can change the resistance on the fly..it's perfect for my strength training routine: http://www.bodyforlife.com/exercise/weighttraining.asp

So that's what I am getting myself for my birthday in May, when I get my tax refund. :)

CC 02-16-2006 10:35 PM

Congratulations! Slow and steady wins the race in weight loss, so just stick with it!! And here's a big STFU to the assholes on the board.

je_rome 02-16-2006 10:37 PM

to lose a pound is such a difficult task, much more 8 pounds.
congrats! keep it up!

I think you might find that the adult community on a whole is a lot less critical than what all the "perfect" board warriors are.

Congrats.

Pornwolf 02-16-2006 11:20 PM

I think you will hit your goals in the time that you want. You really sound motivated.

I will be the first in line to smack that new and improved ass in Miami. LOL

Mrs. Lenny2 02-16-2006 11:25 PM

Congratulations, girlfriend!! :winkwink:

I'll share my little weight loss story to help with motivation...I've lost like 35-40 pounds over the past few years thanks to exercise and cutting down my calorie intake (the weight has been off for almost a year now). Well, last fall, I got up the nerve to FINALLY wear this super skimpy bikini that I absolutely adore (I bought it about a year ago) and I actually won a bikini contest in it! Woohoo!

You can do it!!

Don't lose too much or you'll lose your fan base:

chase 02-17-2006 08:18 AM

Thanks, folks!

I don't think I have to worry about losing my fan base..I will lose a lot of it, but my ass will always be big. I'm just built that way. I remember when I was a size eight I could fit everything into a size 6 except my ass, lol. So, some fans will move on to bigger and better things, but I will gain a whole new fan base as well-the ones who like round asses, but they want it with a toned body, and I'm pretty sure that's a larger group of people..BBW is a pretty specialized niche.

CC, that's awesome! I don't know if my abs will ever be bikini ready, lol. I've had 3 c-sections, so I will have to really work incredibly hard, and they still may never be the same, because they really fuck your abs up to get behind them during a c-section.

I have started working with a trainer this month and I feel so much better already.

It's time for all of us to get into shape. Here is a link to my trainers site with free downloadable fitnedd videos :)

1-2lbs a week loss is pretty great.

I am cutting, but while cutting I have added a half inch to my arms, a whole inch to my chest and dropped 1.5 inches off my waist. Down at only 172lbs today (@5'8") but I think my sixpack is gonna come out at around 170lbs.

In january I only lost 4lbs. But I think I lost about 8lbs of fat and gained 4lbs of muscle.

Lifting weights is amazing :)
