This is one BAD ASS Mustang!

Foose designs rock!

I dont know why Ford even bothered to put that useless back seat in the car. Should just make it a 2 seater hatchback, at least then you could carry more stuff in it.

Government regulations on vehicle classifications as well as insurance loopholes.

Not to mention that the Mustang has been a 2+2 coupe since 64.

Hmm...

I never found no insurance loopholes. Despite a flawless 25-year driving record, no tickets...no accidents - and being over forty, they still wanted over $2k/yr to insure me on a new Mustang.

"Its a two-door sport coupe," I was told. Havin' a backseat had no bearing on it.

It fell on deaf ears when I argued I could take out a bigger bus shelter with my Ford F150 (which surprisingly also has only two doors, lol)...than I could with a Mustang.

(edit) - I pay $800/yr. coverage for the truck.

dissipate 02-15-2006 08:09 PM

Im completly in love with the new mustangs, im going to be selling my 98' stang soon and picking up an 06

TreasureBucks 02-15-2006 08:12 PM

I dont think i would buy a "custom" edition mustang.

You can buy your own and customize it...
granted, it wont be worth as much money in the end.

But you can pick your own rims. Those black ones are ugly. IMO.

I went all OEM on my 05 gt, except for the rims and tires.

Theres been a limited selection of aftermarket parts, but they are staerting to flood the market now with them.

Im 32, no accidents nor tickets and im paying $1500 of an 06 Volvo S40. Last year I was paying $1400 for my Audi a4. Insurance rates are insane!

They removed the center emblem, and you got the spoiler lip, instead of the spoiler.

What else if different???

Got a brand new GT, conv. full coverage.... I think i pay around $600 every 6 months for insurance.

My driving record over the last 5 years is, ehh, ok ......Ive had some speeding tickets.

My driving record over the last 15 years LOL.... tickets, accidents, suspended liscence, driving while suspended. For as many years as I drove drunk.... never got busted for that. Of course i didnt say, i wasnt drunk when ive been pulled over, but.....

That's odd. When I was pricing them a few years back ('04 Cobra vs '04 Corvette) I was actually told by my insurance agent that I would receive a break on the Cobra because it had a backseat and the Vette didn't. May just be by state or something.

Dildozer 02-15-2006 08:20 PM

Just another "limited edition" rustang
How many of those can they come out with within a frickin year?

1. I would DEFINITELY recommend the Brembos. I have had the installed on nearly every one of my vehicles. The initial cost is expensive and the replacement pads are very expensive, but they are well worth it. :thumbsup

2. Where is the '96 located?

brembo's are very expenisve yes.
i was also checking out wilwood's kits, but i'd much rather go with brembo.

the 96 is located in Tampa. The car has not been in any salt, nor has it spent any time on the beach.

joefriday 02-15-2006 08:42 PM

Fuck thats cool , I want one !

Mr Pheer 02-15-2006 09:31 PM

Ordering a new mustang gt is how I ended up with my F150. I put $500 down and ordered the mustang exactly how I wanted it, and when it came in 3 months later, I went to pick it up. Got a good look at it, sit in it, drove it.. and said how much is that truck over there? Dropped the cash on the truck instead and drove it home.

For the same reason I didnt buy another corvette. I bought that truck brand new in July, its now february and it has 2800 miles on it. Its my primary vehicle and its lucky to get driven once or twice a week. I just filled the tank last night for the first time in 6 weeks. Buying another vehicle for myself is just a waste of money and garage space, I dont drive much. One of the perks of working at home on the internet :)

I do however have 5 motorcycles in the garage :banana

Not unless they just popped the trunk (hood) release

I just can't get my head wrapped around the new design of the Mustang, I really used to like the older designs.

But that much horsepower for 40k Canuck you can't go wrong :)
