they say our lives are better than past decades...
but our lives have become so much more hectic. That hectic pace caused my friends dad to end his life by standing on train tracks last year, and now that same friends brother died yesterday by a driver in a rush.
Just slow down people, and then our lives will truly be better. |
My condoleances...
It's unacceptable that work & more can put such pressure on people. :disgust So I can't say I disagree... I think people like us (self-employed/entrepreneurs/freelancers etc.) are the luckiest ones in a sense... It comes with an obligation to ourselves & serious planning though: When we have the freedom to balance our lives with work vs. living... We should check that balance and adjust it continuously! Not everyone has this freedom. Use it when You have it! |
Don't know who, "they" are.. but I don't see it as being better..
I remember the 60's in Ohio very well and it was great.. True I was younger, but I was working and doing as people do.. Not near the problems with health care, jobs, job stability, gas prices (.32 gal.) .. violence, attitudes of kids.. education.. It was all better.. yes those were different times, but if, "they" say better than in past decades.. then, "they" are a bit confused... IMO.. |
sorry to here to that,
I believe life is better, after all almost anything a person needs they can get (food, shelter, etc) The problem now people do not know how to accept life for what it is. One of my favorite lines is "A problem is only a problem if you call it that" |
