model release question?

this is a stange question but here goes......

If someone had shot some photos/video and had made a site out of it would you need releases and ID's?

This question pertains to someone who had a paysite up but one of the models stated that she never signed any release for the site.....whats the statute of limitations for such a crime?

model can sue you if he/she change his mind, release is document that covers you up if something change in her head, that what she posed you, even in front of witnesses, has no matter if you have no signed release
no judge or investigator will trust you, they will take that case as the fraud of the model
that's the situation here, i guess that's the situation everywhere
do not publish, sell or anything else with pics that you have no release or is not leased to you from someone who has it

I have a question ... do you need a new model release form for each and every set, even if you shoot, letīs say 4 or 5 sets in one day??

The auto response is "ask your lawyer". That being said, my release states that it covers all photos/video recorded on a particular date and includes an attached description of the photosets/video.

Spend some $ and get a lawyer its the only way in view of all the possible 2257 changes. If you don't have a model release in your hands for this model remove her stuff until you do, its the safest option..

Oh and dont forget two forms of ID as well

I have one release for one date, I think to do some attachment like hollywod376

two forms of ID? I take pic of her/him with two IDs or other legal document (birth certificate, citizenship certificate) holding them next to face

Also, in reading your question - you say that she said that "she never signed any release for the site". Well, maybe she signed a release for the photos to the original photographer...which in most cases would cover whatever the photog did with the pics, including his resale to others as content for a site.

Get a Lawyer... www.xxxlaw.net
Trust me, you dont want to be filming content and not be lawyered up.

Your best bet is to have a qualified attorney, as DukeSkywalker said, www.xxxlaw.net is a good resource.

Thats why you film her sigining it..
hoes always say that to get their content down. I call it "hoe realization syndrome." Its when they see themselves with a dick in their ass on the net and say ohh fuck, i fucked up.

I agree with the previous posters -- get a GOOD lawyer!

Jace 02-15-2006 12:28 PM

i agree with everyone else, get a lawyer...if not full time, just for advice on this....it won't cost that much really

Big Red Machine 02-15-2006 12:48 PM

The real question is if she did sign a release, from experience I wouldn't take her word on it. Does the guy have a release?

G-Rotica 02-15-2006 12:57 PM

My release covers a date. Oh, and get a lawyer.
