yeah flowers aren't cheap, i skipped 'em this year and went for a victoria's secret gift card, that way I get a little back ;)

A dozen roses for $85? Last time I bought a girl 40 roses, it cost me something like $10...

Quality roses put in an arrangement by a real florist is 100 times better than supermarket, street vendor, and crap florist stuff. Flowers are pretty cheap (Not $10 for 40 cheap but still) but the good ones cost more like everything else in life.

Since I can't tell the difference myself, I can't be bothered to pay for it. The girl in question seemed more than happy with them, so it didn't matter either way.

But aside from that, I happen to live in country with one of the largest flower industries in the world, so prices are always fairly low here.

That would be a good reason for them being so cheap. You could wholesale them out to North America and still make a profit. :1orglaugh

If you can't afford a dozen roses then settle on a single rose instead. Still, presentation is what matters most. :thumbsup :winkwink:

Shit I can get a dozen roses done up by a nice florist here for like $40 with a nice vase. I much rather get a nice flowering plant that will live.
