I suggest being VERY careful in Jaco and especially Playa Hermosa de Jaco Cory!! You surf so, I am sure you'll be OK but, NOT for first timers! I lived in Hermosa for 8 months and Hermosa almost killed me several times! The waves are super HEAVY beach breaks with major currents!

First timers would like Manuel Antonio which is a short bus ride away!

Here is the skinny from an actual surfer. I have been down to jaco a few times to surf. The break at jaco is mostly pretty cool, playa hermosa is the mfer so see me before goin there. there is a secret spot though you can reach by boat and I have the hook up. talk to me if you want to go.

Very much looking forward to it. Haven't caught any waves since I was in Hawaii
last year so it will definitely be interesting.....
