......and i will be the next pope!

AsianDevil 02-14-2006 11:50 AM

"Authorities have cleared Cheney of wrongdoing in the shooting of Whittington, but questions about Saturday's incident remain."

I'd say the odds of him being arrested don't even matter now.

dynastoned 02-14-2006 11:50 AM

yeah hunting accidents happen all the time, mainly by fucking morons. anyone who is dumb enough to shoot over your head when you're hunting should go to jail in my opinion.

sumphatpimp 02-14-2006 11:52 AM

he shot a lawyer.
where you going to get a jury to convict of anything?

I heard the guy was wearing a deer hat..

MetaMan 02-14-2006 11:53 AM

i was gonna take that bet.

you see anything today bro?

TheLegacy 02-14-2006 11:54 AM

well apparently the guy had a heart attack in the hospital but even if he dies, the VP wont be seeing a court anytime soon - hes cleared of any guilt (long before the police said he was)

Lord Nelson 02-14-2006 11:56 AM

Correct. If this guy dies, the manslaughter charges will not be avoided.

Spin it Fox, spin it.

jacked 02-14-2006 11:57 AM

what a DICK! if it were anyone else they'd be sitting behind bars

Yeah, if the Vice President does it, its not against the law

Baker Rd 02-14-2006 12:00 PM

I already have my tin foil hat on, this man was shot on purpose to prove that no one fucks with the bush administration

mackey 02-14-2006 12:04 PM

Pardoned.

GirlV 02-14-2006 12:07 PM

Im thinking ol' cheney could slaughter a busload of school children with a dull steak knife and he would still get a presidential pardon. :)

SmokeyTheBear 02-14-2006 12:18 PM

what really pisses me off is how they let the guy get away with shit they would NEVER let the average guy get away with..

First off he didnt have a hunting stamp, if you or i went hunting and got busted by fish and game for hunting without a stamp we would be fined our equipment would ALL be confiscated and we would have a court date.

Then the reporting of the accident..

" hello police... yah i just wanted to call and let you guys know i shot my friend with A shotgun sometime yesterday , but dont worry it was just a mistake, have a nice day ..."

there would be a swat team at your house in a few moments

spacedog 02-14-2006 12:23 PM

please, no way he's going to get arrested. Don't forget we're talking about the same government that had a senator/congressman murdered for opposing the war before it started. The same government that crashed planes & used lies & deciet to blame someone else to create an excuse to have a war to benifit private & profitable purposes.!!!!!

pornstar2pac 02-14-2006 12:23 PM

i bet the guy will win a 20 million dollar lawsuit

sumphatpimp 02-14-2006 12:31 PM

if anybody is going down it is the fuck headed doctors who did not remove the pellets.
they should have been removed first thing.
the lawyer should have been xrayed to find all the pellets, and then remove them.
doctors are in deep shit.

adultchica 02-14-2006 12:33 PM

My bets he won't be charged with shit, he will get a slap on the wrist, and it will be forgotten about in the media within a few months.

chadglni 02-14-2006 12:35 PM

Whole lot of idiots in this thread. How do you bring em out so fast boneprone?

hmm.. why do I have a feeling that
if the guy does die
nothing will happen??

just be called an accident

and if so.. how about all the other cases going on now and have be done before, will they all be re-opened??

nico-t 02-14-2006 12:55 PM

i bet the old fat fuck was playing "operation iraqi freedom" with his buddy at his ranch

Martin3 02-14-2006 12:55 PM

Anyone here ever been quil hunting before? Getting sprayed isn't that uncommon really. A 28 guage with birdshot isn't going to go much more then a 100 yards or so. If some one fires over you from a distance(100yrds or so) you can get hit as the shot falls back to the ground(doesn't hurt at all).

But anyone that as quil hunted in groups know the importance of the line and identifiing yourself if you fall out of the line. In this case both Cheney and Whittington fucked up. Whittington came up behind the group and Cheney wasn't looking beyond his target. It's just what happen when dumb people hunt :winkwink:

I'm wondering if he was a little closer then 30yrds though(like the reports say) I don't see it penetrating that much from that distance. Not with birdshot and a 28 guage anyways.

America is at war. People get shot in times of war. Just like they have their phones tapped in times of war. And the media falls in line and rallies behind the President in times of war. And personal liberties are curtailed in times of war. And the poor and middle-class must make sacrifices in times of war.

So cut the VP some slack. It is a war you know.

eroswebmaster 02-14-2006 01:18 PM

I have heard twice now about how bird shot wont' do much to people.
the guy he accidentally shot wasn't some young GFY buck with a fat wallet, bling bling car, trophy girlfriend and big dick.

He was a frail old man. Big difference.

LOL dude is fucking 78 years old.

Give me a break and use some common sense...if he dies tomorrow from this gunshot it's still natural causes in my book. Why? BECAUSE HE'S FUCKING 78 YEARS OLD....LOL

He's had enough time on this earth.

Oh and I didn't know being a lawyer made you immune from death.

Car accidents happen all the time as well but people can still be charged for manslaughter if they kill someone do to negligence.

Fetish Gimp 02-14-2006 01:56 PM

If Cheney was found eating fresh Iraqi babies hearts there'd be a Congressional investigation, at the end of which he'd be commended for his bravery in dealing with anti-american insurgents and given the Medal of Honor.

I highly doubt there will be manslaughter charges brought up if the man dies.

We're not talking about real negligence here where Dick was driving drunk and crashed his car. We're talking about grown men making a choice to do something that can be dangerous. Accidents happen, does not make it negligence. As posted above you're standing with a group of man all armed and firing, it is your responsibility to stay out of the line of fire as much as it is for the man firing the gun to clear his line of fire.

loverboy 02-14-2006 02:10 PM

sorry, big brother Bush wont let that happen

Oh I know it would never happen.. one could only wish. However looking at it technically he shouldn't have even been there hunting because he didn't have the "bird" hunting stamp on his license.

after the conviction the speaker of the house assumes VP status.

MattO 02-14-2006 02:31 PM

I hear that the quail they were shooting were released from pens behind bushes where they knew where they'd be. Kind of like hunting for retards.
