The only thing I don't like about BBO is that their stats are based on 2nd page clicks, not 1st page. They still convert great, its just a little misleading in my opinion.

ahhhh i didn't know that....But that makes his traffic look even more massive when you think about it if they're only counting second page clicks....But that does put the sales ratio into perspective.

I mostly only look at the dollars amount in all my sponsor stats. From spots on my sites I know what a good result is and what isn't. One sponsor counts uniques, the other hits, 2nd page clicks, 1st page clicks, hosted gallery clicks etc etc. As a webmaster it's better to count on your own click tracking software and on the other end on your sponsors $ output.

true, too many sponsors do so unfortunately. But like M. said, he knows what he should expect from certain spots so thats how we count if something works out yes or no. Ofcourse it depends on more things but thats mostly a good pointer.
