Im just playing with the new Google desktop - v3
And I have to say its a vast improvement. I may even keep it.
There is a feature where you can index all your computers and store the results on Googles servers - so you can access them from anywhere. Im not sure about that, seems a bit of security risk. |
I just found a Timeline feature - very nice.

I wouldnt run that ever. Google has even said it may to lexical analysis on the documents on your hard drive and see if it can send you ads based on them. If you or I built a program lilke that it would be called 'Spyware' and we would awaiting trial....

I wouldnt install anything that just gve free access to my stuff..not that I would have anything to "hide" either but your opening yourself up for all kinds of problems for sure.
