It's almost time for our yearly *IN-F'N-SANE* promotion - what would you prefer?
 

Some of you might remember that around March last year, us purl=http://affiliates.iwantu.com]IwantU[/url] folks had an unheard of promotion: we offered out $2.50 per free profile, with NO RATIOs and NO EMAIL CONFIRMATIONS. On worldwide traffic.

The results: We got a LOT of traffic. Not all of it quality, but that was expected. Some affiliates stayed after the promotion, others jumped to the next promo they could find.

Well, to get to the point: IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN!

However, we'd like to get some feedback first this time, to see what would interest you people the most.

Last promo was great - albeit quite a pity that not too many converted to paying members for me personally. But you guys paid for about 70% of my new car, so much love to IWantU! :)

I'd say fiddy+ bucks per sign up is best for both yourselves and affiliates. That way you'd eliminate freeloader traffic and it'd benefit current loyal webmasters with free members (who are ready to whip out their credit cards).

Downside for people who jump the ship will be that on average it takes 3-4 weeks for your average free member to sign up. So they'll get the fullest out of the first week of promotion, and will get paid regular rates towards the end of the promo.

I think you have it in reverse, but your intent is right :winkwink:

People who only start sending traffic when the promo begins, might not see much for the first half of it as you are correct in it can take some time for members to decide to pay. They will likely start cashing in the most in the second half.

That's why we will definately announce the promo in advance and urge people to start sending trafic right away; for the very reason that will enable them to get the most out of their traffic all-month long.

As for your opinion on the PPS option, I think from a company point of view, you are right. However it might not be as attractive as the "no-risk no-ratio" offer. Then again, another option could be to just do ALL OF THE ABOVE - might not be as wise for ourselves as doing only a controlled amount like the PPS, but then everyone could be happy :)
