I did not do the design, and I am not working on the design, but I am working with this guy on other various things

it is a UK based business that imports cars into the UK from the USA

His traffic is there, but the response has been crappy. while he is wellaware it is a slow time for importing cars right now, he can't figure out why the response to this site is such low quality and the other sites he runs have good quality response

everyone that is here, critique this design...pull it the fuck apart, and give me some shit to shoot back to him

god, the lack of intelligence on GFY lately is simply amazing

now only are there less posts being made, but the over IQ of the posters is severly lacking

I don't like the fonts used....nor the colors....the colors of the header (grey/black) doesnt fit well with the menu bar...

Doesn't look professional. The colors, effects, fonts and logo all look very unprofessional.

If your guy needs a redesign let me know, I'd like to do it.

2nd post in this thread hits the nail on the head ;) that's the impression i got when i first visited the site. "amateur". this is the type of design you'd expect from an amateur, maybe within his first or 2nd year of designing sites. the colors used just don't go well together... hardly ANYTHING ever goes with a flat gray color (the background).. blue & gray = ew. the navigation is just amateur'ish, beleved buttons in that fashion are newb. it's just not laid out well at all... you don't have any idea what type of fucking site it is without having to examine the site for awhile.

just needs a lot more structure, better color scheme, and a lot less clutter.

Looks as good, if not better, than some of the more established motor companies sites I've seen. His problems could be could be down to two things, it's winter and it's well known that car sales drop through the floor at this time of year, and in the UK, a lot of people assume that all US cars are gas guzzling monsters. Just my :2 cents:

Well, my first thought was, get rid of that H3 and replace it with more of a "wow factor" car.

Now I will just ramble in no particular order:

The font seems a bit big, try 11px. The circlular Magic Motors logo is too big and wasting a lot of space.

Rather than show the Mustang logo, show the car.

If you are going to use grey, don't use a powder blue, use more of a steel blue (darker) it will make the site more masculine.

Put at least one hot chick somewhere on there. Cars and chicks = clicks.... ha ha ha I just made that up... (obviously). Go to Matrix spend the $55 for a set and put the best non-nude photo on there.

Reverse the title blocks (Special Mustang & Pick of the month) so that its grey text on Black, rather the black on grey...

put a 1 px black or dark grey border on the pick of the month photo <style="border: solid 1px black">
