My new home office setup (PICS)

So we decided on renovating a portion of our basement to house our new home office. Since Claire and I both work from home more now we thought we could use an upgrade.

Here is the old home office pic.

Nice setup. Do you actually get work done w/ the TV on or is it just for the dogs? :winkwink:

Claire Gosse 02-09-2006 03:07 PM

Our desks may look the same, but I have a better computer;)

That's a sick looking office, the only thing that would get me is the lighting - i need natural light while i work.

I actually use the TV for an output monitor for Final Cut.

All those large monitors are nothing but office bling, congratulations! You must be doing well for yourself. I just don't think I could even work on such a large display. :)

They're terrabyte drives. I use a lot of hard drive space when working on video projects:)

Having such a big display took me a while to get used to, but now I love it!

ElvisManson 02-09-2006 03:51 PM

Looks great Brad..I took your advice and picked up one of the D2 bigger disks. Of course it was dead right out of the box and I had to go to LaCie and get a new one from them....lol

Monique Niccole 02-09-2006 03:51 PM

You sound like a modern day Hugh Hefner :)

Peter_ANYwebcam 02-09-2006 04:00 PM

Looks great, but I'd prefer to be looking out windows not at walls.

joefriday 02-09-2006 04:00 PM

True, I have 2 like that (most basements have small windows like that) but it let's in enough sunlight that we don't feel sick. + the flourescent bulbs are daylight and they put off a nice glow.

chase 02-09-2006 04:09 PM

Looks nice! The first after pic tricked my eye at first, lol, it looked like there was a mirrored wall for a second.

being a basement, I'm sure the other half would be looking at dirt.

Besides, a window is a window... kinda like a hole is a hole. You can't put half the dirt back and have half a hole :winkwink:

I used your previous set up as an inspiration, and the new one is even better!

RevSand 02-09-2006 04:39 PM

Very cool office set up...

My only thought when I looked at the pics was you do not like looking at each other when you work. I think I would find myself getting up too much to go around to talk to the other person since if they are so close I would want to have a face to face instead of yelling over.

Pete-KT 02-09-2006 04:40 PM

Damm bro that looks good
