Microsoft Anti Spyware
slows down my system performance big time. anyone else notice this when you run it on startup?
yeah it lags tghe fuck outta my shit @ startup .. i can even see some gay form b4 it hits the systray.. and I'm on a 3ghz 512mb with not much shit starting up bleh
works fine for me
Don't have it startup, and just run it once a week or so.
not a bit here....in fact it pops right open at startup
I have 2gb dual channel system ram though with a 3400+ athlon processor, so not much slows me down |
Doesnhahaha8217;t slow anything down here. Get infected with something if you want to see slow.
i really notice it when i click on an image file in windows explorer. it loads so slow. i'm going to give xoftspy a try next. heard it doesn't use a lot of system resources or i'll just run microsoft anti spyware once a week. thanks for your quick responses guys.
I only run it once in a while, really no need to run it at start up...
same here and i uninstalled it way back
Slowed my system big time and made it unstable a couple of times Wouldnt recommend it, there are lots of other good antispyware applications out there anyway:2 cents: |
When I got that pagefile vulnerability virus etc back in December, msft's program did pick up a few things that about 10 other programs DID NOT pick up. I wouldn't write it off completely, nor would I start it up.
Nope. I don't have such problem here.
works perfectly. no problem at all.
I run that one and spy bot and have no problems

I think it's just average compared to other programs.I deleted it after a month..It found some instances but not near as much as Trend Micro or Bullet Proof
