My Rangers are turning some heads in the NHL

Whipped up on the Sens last night, sitting atop the Atlantic Division right now. Maybe this last decade of heartache is finally coming to a close for us Rangers guys.

Are all you Canadian hockey freaks up there happy with the new rules?

My fucking Kings are SUCKING ASS... Just lost their 7th in a row... They were on top of the Pacific most the season...

I am writing something.

Beating the Sens the way they did is really a turning point for this young team. I truly think they are one of the leagues best teams.

Lundquist, Prucha and Jagr have been awesome!

The Demon 02-09-2006 09:38 AM

That's only because you have the original Penguin Jagr, in there. I wish Pavel Bure wouldn't have retired so soon, he was already amazing at his young age

Sosa 02-09-2006 09:40 AM

Tell me when the playoffs start. That is the only hockey I watch.

I am impressed with the Sabres this year as well. Hanging tough. Its going to be an interesting end to the season.

What about everyone's take on the rookie race? Crosby is definitely the more technically skilled player, which helps him out a lot with these new rules, but I think Ovetchkin could end up being even better than him in the long run. More durable and complete, at least.

The Rangers, Hurricanes and Sabres are the biggest surprises to me by far this year, but with the new rules, it's not as shocking as it appears. They were meant to open up the game, and Jagr should have been one of the big beneficiaries, which he obviously has been. No real big surprises in the West division so far.

As for the rookie race, I think Ovechkin is a little more deserving right now. He's playing with a lesser cast and still putting up the points. He does have a big advantage in that he's already played with Russian Elites for 4 years. That's a pretty good headstart. The comparisons will be a little more telling in about 2-3 years.

:2 cents:

I can appreciate that. I had the same reaction over the baseball strike years ago.

They're finally playing as a team, and Henrik Lundquist is a stud! Rookie stud that is :D
