hey BP, D$ and other new dads...

So tell us how it's going! I've been having the time of my life and couldn't be happier at this point in my life when I wake up every day to start playing with my baby.

Come on, share some baby stories with us!

Here's one:

My fiance always breast fed the baby by holding him football style... with his butt being beside her. He basically put his butt up against the back of the couch, or wall or what ever she leaned back against.
This one time, up against the couch... he was eating away and decided that he'd have the food go out just as fast as it went in. Well, with his butt pressed firmly up against the back of the couch... you can imagine just how well that went!

The liquid baby poop went straight out the sides of the diapers.. down his back, into the couch, between the back and the cushions, through the pull out couch and into a puddle so very neatly on the floor.

He was covered, the couch was needing cleaning in places I've never seen and we had to mop up the floor.

All the while the baby was furious that had to stop eating so suddenly and wasn't full yet!

Thank goodness he's on the bottle now, solid poops... and no more butts against the back of the couch!!

Oh you have a baby boy? Congratulations!

Just wait, two years from now when he's talking to ya... they're damn great at that point. :)

I dunno if im still considered a "new " dad but it still feels very new

this morning my daugther who just turned 1 stood on her own for over a minute and when she went to fall down she caught her self and stood back up.

Was pretty amazing.

When my daughter was around 6 months old, she needed to go to the bathroom but wasn't strong enough to lift the lid herself, so she positioned herself over the dog's bowl and crapped into it. When she couldn't find the toilet paper, she wiped her ass upon the dog.

When my daughter turned 1, we took her ice skating for her party.

Being slightly unexperienced, she took it upon herself to try a maneuver that was completely beyond her skill level.

It was between a clean axel and her attempt at a salchow that she spun down onto the ice with such spin that her left skate flew off, ripping across the neck of an elderly man eating an ice cream at the edge of the rink.

The loss of blood was volumnous and immediate.

Fortunately, she was young enough that the episode should hopefully be but a cloudy dream in her later years.

Just think, Stu, you have more fun stuff to look forward to as they get older. Just the other night I put the 2 year old to bed, kissed her and told her i loved her. She shoves her finger up her nose, pulls out a tasty booger and holds her little finger up to me and says "here ya go mommy."

I had to clean it up, but you can't help but laugh at all those little things :) Enjoy it, they grow up WAYYY too fast.

I can't keep up with my 11th month old son
He crawls so fast, and is now standing up from a sitting position.
He is teething like crazy has 5 teeth already with a new one just starting to come out.
he loves to eat with his hands and throw the food all over, he laughs so much when he does that I don't have the heart to stop him yet.
says dad dad dad dad over and over again, hope he learns a new word soon, driving me crazy. lol
When we take his 4 yr old sis to school he wants to stay with the other kids in the school.
Hope thats a good sign.

Its been a blast bringing up 2 kids by myself, and I would not trade it for anything else.

that's awesome and insane at the same time. Man, I don't know how you do it. Going through this is great, but I really can't imagine trying to do it on my own. Even if I could manage to do the baby stuff on my own, nothing else would ever get done.

kudos to you man :thumbsup

Ok. I have an 8month old that has his first tooth, and the only thing that got us through was teething tabs. they work wonders. 2 tabs in the mouth, and with in about 10 minutes, they calm down.

For the story. My boy who turned 8 months a few days ago was standing in his pack and play, and looking at the parrot. I guess that he really likes her, because he stares at her all the time. well. He fell, and landed on his bottom. He sat there for a min, before he fell over, and then we couls swear that we hard him say shit! He laready says mommy, and dada, he loves to say hello. But shit was a new one. He was just getting ready to cry when the parrot who had been watching him, started to make beeping noises like one of his toys, so he started to laugh. Then the bird changed from the beeping noise to saying Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck Fuck.

I think my sons next word may be fuck.

my son Daniel is two years, and two months old. He walks, talks, can read whole books, compete nursery rhymes you name it. He loved being tickled by dad, and is currently trying out screaming in public places to get attention if someone isn't talking to him.

Couldn't imagine life without him, and don't want to.

It can be trying at times, he is still not sleeping more than 4 hours at a time though.
