Dude, the whole world has been cursed since the creation just because Adam & Eve ate a fucking apple and God got pissed they ate the fruit in his garden.

God created Adam, then God says to Adam "I will create for you the perfect companion, it will be everything you desire and make you happy as can be, but there's a catch"

So Adam said "Wow, sounds great, what's the catch"

God replies "It will cost you one of your legs"

Adam says "hmmm, I don't think I want to give up one of my legs, so I am not interested"

So then God says "Ok, I will make you a great companion, it will be almost everything you desire and will make you happy most of the time, but this will cost you an arm".

Adam thinks it over, and replies "Nope, I still am not interested, I do not wish to give up one of my arms".

Adam, after thinking about it more, says to God "God, I wish to have a companion, but I do not wish to give up an arm or a leg, so I was thinking, what can I get for a rib?"
