I'm about to start a big SEO project. i don't really know what i'm doing and this is my first time doing a project like this so it will be a learn as you go kind of thing. That said I don't want to drop a ton of money into it since I'm still learning how it works and stuff like that.

Here is what I need.

1.Hosting for 10 domains. Each domain needs its own IP so I will need 10 IP's
2.Virtual is okay as long as the IPs are not shared with anyone else.
3.Some type of decent web stats program.
4.I won't need a ton of transfer since this is going to be basically an SEO project I'm not looking for massive traffic, just good quality traffic.
5. other than that all I really need is ftp access and I'm ready to rock.

you requirements are easy to meet, except for the 10 Ips part. basically all the cost will go into those, as most shared hosts offer 1 shared IP. So you're loking for a dedicated server or a VPS to get so many IPs, in most cases. Get ready to throw in a few $$$

Why do people think they need multiple ip's , Since google is too smart anyhow, they go right past this can read/monitor your whois info and everything else to see whats yours. Once you get that info on the ban list, then your in trouble.. And well if you don't duplicate or make content just to trick the se's
your content can not be considered spam. portal perhaps, but not spam, will still get indexed.

It goes beyond multiple IP's, you want them on multiple Class C's. Google has said it, and we believe them

Can they do a whois? Sure. Do they? No.
