Simple question really... Do you own the copy of DreamWeaver you use to update your websites everyday, or did you get it ahh... illegally...

Yup I own all the Macromedia and Adobe products, Funny how people think they are expendive. Guess what? They will earn you more money in the long run if you take the time to really learn how to use them, and they are great tax writeoffs:)

we have 2 x dw3 and 2xdw4 everything both at ebay for around $550 in total

wouldn't install mx even if i had original
why the fuck they have to change layout with every new version
probably will be using dw4 for years

I paid for MX and I dont think that 8 is worth the upgrade fee so I will pay again for the next version (if its worth it).

I do the same with windows - I have paid for 3 XP's - but I didnt pay for 98 to ME. I will have a look at the next version and make a decision then.

I would if the Euro prices were not so high. Dreamweaver is $399 and 479euros without VAT. So add 21% to this and you get 570euros with the currents rates that is 681$.

SO basically for the same software, there is a difference of $280 just because I'm in Europe so fuck that, I'll use something else :)

I dont care about if other got "special" copies, but i will not get busted if i get a company razzia.

But for some years ago the only one legal on my computers was XP - and the rest was shit i found on P2P and other program snatching sites.

I also got 3 licens of xp office 2003.

Just got creative. Bought office 2003 for students and teachers - and each has 3 licens on, and its cheap. And im allways study :D

Have to agree. We have all of the versions going right back to version 1 (which was free btw) but we use DW4 for just about everything.

I used to use MX (6.0) and a BIG change in 8.0 is that when I save files or navigate my website, I don't keep getting disconnected and no longer have to wait for the 'connecting' screen... I used to have pauses all the time saving a file...

Why pay for softwere if there are always free analouges, ineed most people dont use all DW power, only 10%, and if so, you can use free WYSIWYG editors

Fucking sweet.. In 8.0 the FTP activity is done in the background so you can keep working... Fucking so worth the $399 to be able to upload a lot of shit and start working on it before the uploading is done...

I guess it's not 'legal' since I bought a version for educational resale only and I'm no longer a student. That's just a technicality though :)

Whats dreamweaver? I still use the free copy of Front Page that came free with Office 98 :)

Wow... I will admit that I liked certain features about Frontpage for a long time... but then I got over them or Dreamweaver has since incorporated them so now I can get everything I want from one program.

I always have the latest versions of EVERYTHING. That being said, I didn't pay for any of it, yet my serial #s and licenses are all valid. :pimp
