subpoena received
First I receive a E-mail from some hotshot lawyer that ask for our company details as they wish to subpoena us, I ask what this is all about and kindly inform her that we will give out information about someone only if the person implied in this agree, or if they have prober court documents forcing us to give out the requested information based on the privacy laws in the country we run our business.
Then I get this reply: I represent Ms. XXX in a divorce action which is pending in the Superior Court of XXX, Georiga, civil action number XXX. I need an itemized phone log from November 1, 2004 to the present date for XXX, social security number XXX. Could you tell me approximately how much it would cost for the production of these documents? What would you reply? I'm not sure if I should laugh at her for getting divorced over the use of dialers, or him for not giving a shit. P.S. If they request me to meet in a court, can I demand all expensives paid in a 5-star hotel?? :pimp |
LOL, sounds like her husband got owned for porn surfing.
:1orglaugh |
unless the cops come asking for phone recorsds you do not have to give them to her she isnt the law so if she says she is in any way tell her lick your nut sack. SHE NEEDS A WARRANT for the phone records

a real lawyer will send you a registered letter or something in the regular mail. Its probably her trying to nail his ass
|
Divorce is civil, not criminal. So more than likely the cops wont show. It would be a private process server, with a court order to provide the info. Just ask for mega bucks and give them to her. It's easier and you get paid that way.

Couldn't he get into trouble for giving out this info WITHOUT some kind of court order? Would be nice to make her pay for it and not worry about the leagality, but ... -p |

Tell the lawyer that the cost would be $200,000.00 payable in advance by wire transfer only.
|
I usually charge $5 a minute to produce documents.
|
Don't you run that pill program?
|
I would advise them to send any requests to your lawyer and let him deal with it.
|
don't do shit unless you get a certified letter...and if you see that certified letter coming don't sign for it
|
no you tell em to contact the phone company.

You might get away with some expenses paid, but good luck on that. You will have to prove a financial lose to you and your company. You might actually be better off, but doing some business while there, and then doing a tax deduction. |
