Basically, I think it came down to a good idea that was a little too complicated for most of us to understand.

Oh... and bad karma from the burning cat video didn't help at all.

Nicky 02-08-2006 10:21 AM

Holy shit u mean its gone??

:upsidedow

Jace 02-08-2006 10:24 AM

It was a damned good idea, and our loss that it's gone.

JFK 02-08-2006 10:48 AM

Rick cut his losses , onto bigger and better things:thumbsup :thumbsup

Gouge 02-08-2006 10:49 AM

Dollars.com was a great idea and concept. I went to one of those seminars Rick put on and my head exploded after 10 min. It was entirely to confusing to understand. Seems like they would re-tool the idea and try it again.

BradM 02-08-2006 10:49 AM

That domain shouldn't be sitting on a ppc feed.

psili 02-08-2006 10:50 AM

Didn't another company have a patent on that type of affiliate system, or am I thinking of something else ?

Nylz 02-08-2006 10:51 AM

hey man... where'd you get that domaaaaaaaaiiiinnnnnn

KRL 02-08-2006 10:51 AM

Rick developed a great idea, but the system was too complex for the average adult webmaster to grasp and use.

So as they say in the startups biz, NEXT!!

I think it was too complicated to use, not too complicated to understand. The idea was good and fairly simple.

Oracle Porn 02-08-2006 11:07 AM

can anyone explain what it was?

Tom_PM 02-08-2006 11:09 AM

A system where they hosted sponsors tours and join pages and tracked clicks and sales from various creatives, allowing you to manage which ad was rotated based on it's productivity. Basically.

Pornwolf 02-08-2006 12:00 PM

Pretty simple. I think NATS or MPA3 should offer that (if they don't already).

I think X Pays says they own the sub affiliate concept and currently have a patent until someone fights it.

theFeTiShLaDy 02-08-2006 01:04 PM

it's been a year dear

GTS Mark 02-08-2006 01:08 PM

It was a FANTASTIC idea, however it was not simple enough for the average webmaster to grasp immediately. You know us adult webmasters have the patience of a gerbil. ;)

DH

Wiggles 02-08-2006 01:09 PM

it was confusing because Rick couldn't even explain it and fully understand what he was saying.

BradShaw 02-08-2006 01:22 PM

I could explain, but it would take 16 hours;-)

Somtimes ideas are too complex for internet idiots with ADD.

why was it so complicated? they host tours. they determine which ones are best. they show the right traffic the best converting tour for that traffic. doesn't sound that complicated.

Well the url would not be right. do they host all through the purchase? lots of variables.

bdld 02-08-2006 01:58 PM

if it was a good idea it would have taken off, it just wasn't a good idea

Drake 02-08-2006 02:09 PM

Was it specific to adult or could mainstream companies use it also?

BlueWire 02-08-2006 02:20 PM

My question about it was always why was the WHOLE website just a login box. Why not explain what was truly a cool and innovative idea?

THANK YOU!!!!!!!

the site itself was stupid and made no sense and the truth is that people with the attention span of a 3yr old are not going to spend time trying to figure shit out when they are busy.

maybe it was a great idea. execution was lacking in every respect.

$tandaman 02-08-2006 02:24 PM

Thanks for the info guys.
