looks real to me and great pic

That things gonna tip over...
they are demolition the ship. They just put it back in the water to let it sink. So the picture is not what it seems like.
Its fake, author is me :)
Ouuuuuch! Damn it, my coffee!
all hands on deck!! Or your falling the fuck off!
watch the national geographic channel and see the u.s.s. ronald reagan show. when they go to sea trials they get it up to 35mph and go hard right and the ship looks like its gonna touch the left side to the water. insane!
They are testing it out before putting it into use. They do a hard turn to make sure the ship holds up.

Looks like fun, now if they only did it at night when the crew was down below sleeping .... I bet some wise-ass captain has done it haha

It is real indeed

Fuck how would you like to be on the deck when that happened

I wouldnt want to be on a huge aircraft carrier full of Jet Fuel, Bombs, Ammo all of it sitting on top of a nuclear reactor while the captain fucks around like that :P Honestly ... WOW!!! |
told them not to make Schumacher a captain but do they listen to me...
I can imagine the sailors inside are holding onto for dear life.. lol
Buy the fighter pilot a case of Jack Daniel if he can land his bird with the carrier in the hardover position.
Carrier's go much faster than anyone may think. And turn's like that are a good way for the Captain to make sure the crew has "secured for sea!":thumbsup
It looks real! Nice pic.
Its Real!
I spent a long time on ships, and thats a pretty steep turn, but I've been through one before. Basically, everything that isn't bolted down goes flying, but the boat stays afloat. I remember, after going through that turn, for the next 2 weeks or so, I'd see people walking around with t-shirts on which was printed : "I survived The Manoeuvre!" lol, it was pretty funny |
I wonder if it can do donuts ? :stoned
Listing to the left... perfectly normal!
dam thats pretty crazy i'd be sketched if i was on the deck of that badboy while that was happening

I will bet you that NO wise ass captain has done it on purpose. that thing during regular use will be loaded with millions of pounds of weapons and aircraft, and no captain is going to risk that. And even if he did it during trials, he would have his ass hended to him if anyone was hurt, or something went wrong. |
Speaking of Aircraft Carriers, I found a page that shows their deployment status and other info. Pretty cool.

lol @ all the ship "experts" in this thread...
So thats what the Caption of the Exxon is doing now...
Yes it seems real. As you can see the deck is empty, and i guess is on test.
Normally that movement is dangerous. 35 miles/hour is enough speed for this. |
Every aircraft carrier goes through 4 days of "sea trials" before its declared certified by the US Navy. Usually about 500 engineers from the builder are on board with the crew to put the ship through its paces and find any defects or malfunctions.
That is a real pic when they are putting it through hard to port and hard to starboard high speed turns. Here's a view from on the ship during the turn. http://www.nn.northropgrumman.com/Re...03-180-063.jpg |
