PSP or IPOD???
 

Which would you say would grow in popularity and use by consumers???

Personally i can do a lot more on my PSP, like browse the internet on it, get my email, watch films, hook up with mates and play online army :-) view photos, video clips, music.

My ipod just play's music and i never really use it, the psp get's used everyday :-) and 8 of my friends have just brought psp's, only one of them owns an ipod.

I'd say both have a market of their own. I can't see many women buying PSP's..and iPod is something that everyone could buy. Dunno.. then again portable mp3 market has a LOT more competition than a portable gameconsole..
So I'd assume that portable mp3 market will grow in popularity more than psp, but as an individual product.. I assume psp will become more popular than ipod.

true...but what about the size and weight? Doesnt that bother you or not practical to carry as opposed to the tiny ipod nano for instance?

I'm sure ipods will be evolving more in the direction of psp.

I have one PSP and another on the way. With the 4gb HDD from Datek, the iPod can't even come close to touching the PSP.

I love my iPod too though and both are usually in my bag when I leave the house.

yeah seriously the IPOD is killing the PSP no contest man...

I've never played with a PSP.
However, the miss'us got me a 60gb IPOD for Xmas and I take it with me everywhere.

It syncs with Outlook calendar and appointments, I can store my contacts on it as Vcards, can view text files on it, etc. It's actually a pretty handy little device. That and the 60gb allows me to not need to carry my Laptop everywhere - can use the Ipod as a go-between for home and work for data storage.

However, I fucking HATE Itunes as a piece of software and the Ipod's music organizing capabilities / issues.

BTW -- how big is a PSP compared to a 5th gen Ipod? I'd have to say if there's a relative size difference, then the Ipod would definitely be favorites in more of portability.

psp = gamesconsole/mediaplayer
iPod = mp3/mediaplayer

before iPod can play games, the primary function of a PSP, I don't understand why you keep saying 'iPod' all the way.. you can't directly compare the 2 items.

Now I just need one to take the place of my Blackberry, iPod and PSP.

Put them all in one package and there's no competition.

i just bought an ipod yesterday the 30g video i like it so far it is very user friendly,compact, light weight...... the PSP seems to bulky for my needs

i hope the next ipod would have wireless connection! :D

PSP has a lot more features but i think Ipod has a better marketing campaigns...at least here.

PSP. with that, i can play 3d games, play mp3 and video plus there are gps support 4 map
