Feb 17th - SIRI Financials Out

This should be interedting to see, hopefully, we'll see share prices get a little closer to the $10 range over the next week or two with these financials being released.

Analysts are expecting that XM is going to report lower earning whilst SIRI is going to report higher earning and perhaps even a hike in subscription pricing too... Good news for SIRI shareholders :winkwink:

Lee

sounds good. the past two days have been great for SIRI stock. XM keep on dropping. Currently just over their 52 week low which they hit this week.

Yeah im thinking once the financials hit, im going to be selling 50% of the 1k shares i own now just to buy in to some other positions.

Will still end up making a tidy profit too, especially if it hits the $9-$10 price mark :Graucho

Buy on the rumors...sell on the news

BTW,

Im thinking these financials are really going be good considering the new pay raises some of their directors received recently..

I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

Have any of you actually looked at the company financials?

You would need several Howard clones to put a dent in that debt!

This is one of the reasons that I only bought a few shares. I do think it will top 10, and when it does, I will sell. I wont make much, but what I make will be worth it.

Should be a good news day for those of us with SIRI stocks, especially after XMSR just posted HUGE losses and one of their directors resigned :)

XM in the toilet

I just sold my paltry shares of XM, as I have watched them drop from 30+ dollars per share to around 24.00. Luckily I bought Sirius when it was around 4.00, along with a new unit which goes everywhere with me (it fucking rocks!). It did hit 9.00 right when Howard Stern announced he was leaving (somewhere around Christmas, 2004), hopefully those days will return...

I said it in the other thread and I will say it again, don't hold your breath.

This is a company with a HUGE debt load, HUGE. They will need several Howard Stern clones to pull themselves out from under in the near to mid future.

JMM 02-17-2006 12:16 PM

LOL, ok, I guess this "is" the other thread!

Sosa 02-17-2006 12:50 PM

Siri way down again, XM has had a terrible fucking week lol. down 9+% today!

headlines read "SIRI loss Widens." Thats not good..

I never liked the satelite radio business.. XM is loses more money with each new subscriber it takes on. Frankly, its a tough business model, and i think radio is becoming more outdated and not worthwhile. So long as there is free radio, most people will choose free over paid. I love Howard, but I am not going to spend a few hundred bucks a year and a couple of hours of my time to listen to him. The fact is, most people only listen to the radio in there car. And the ipod doesn't help matters. On a side note, the programming on XM is terrible.
