Calling all REDNECKS!!!!
I need some redneck advice.... I have a jeep wrangler sitting out in the driveway that I want to put 35' mudders on. Right now everything is stock so I am left with a world of options. I need around 6 to 8 inches of lift to properly put 35" tires on it. I ordered a 4" suspension lift last week and now friends who are perhaps more redneck then I are telling me that I should have went with a spring over instead of a suspension lift. Some people are suggesting that I do both, which is not a problem to me.. However there are also people saying that I will regret doing both. I'm just open to suggestions on this and perhaps there are one or two of you who have a lifted wrangler with 35" mudders that could give me a few tips.
BTW: Of course all redneck photos are welcome and encouraged in this thread as well. :upsidedow |

If you get the 4" lift you will have all the stuff you need to put it together and function.
With just a spring over you will have to modify driveline length/angles, steering parts (dropped pitman and trackbar) and shocks. Plenty of jeeps around here with 35's and they dont have 6"-8" of lift, most just have a 4", much more and you will start to get your center of gravity to high for such a short wheelbase. |

This is clearly a family of "metal heads" of the 80's. They got big 80's rock hair, but dont resemble rednecks. Still a funny pic though :thumbsup :1orglaugh :1orglaugh |
Haha! Nice pictures. Hilarious and amusing.
