So I'm guessing its for your mom, what's wrong with a Camry? If reliability is important to her, which it should be, then thats a great choice.

Personally... I'd spend it on a nice, used, GMC or Chevy, high top conversion van.

ditto, i was suprised to learn they hadn't gone over $20k. friend of mine just bought a 2006 GTi for about $14k.
