XBIZ, AVN, Klixxx [Press question...]
 

None of my recent press releases have been picked up. I tried the Xbiz "Newscaster" and PRadult (and tried to email AVN, but the mail bounces)

I thought maybe they weren't newsworthy, but I think the Pink+Aid charity live event & the issues we've had with Habitat for Humanity are at least as deserving as "Jenny does her first Anal scene."

Any advice?

Should I just write the article and send it in with some pics?

Find a contact there and blackmail them?

Do I need to be paying a fee somewhere?

Do I need to hire a PR company?

Help!

As far as XBiz's Newscaster, if you submit it thru the form on their site ( http://xbiz.com/infopage_service.php?id=938 ) it should go up.

There are tons of places- but only a fe give you real bang for your buck Hal-
AVN and Xbiz are read by a lot of mainstream publications looking for scoop.
I really think the angle you should be hitting are the morning radio shows in key markets.
They are whores for stories and reach a lot of people while they are in the office working and on their way into work.

dude, when I used to send out press releases NO ONE would ever print them...I even emailed avn and asked what exactly to do, they gave me direct instructions on how to format it, what kind of pics to include and everything....i submitted the next one, and they ignored it and would never answer my emails again

avn is the worst though, most of the time if they aren't directly affiliated with you in some way, whether it be an advertiser or friend, they ignore you

bonfire sounds.....awesome. We have some shit here to deal with, but if it gets cleared up, that sounds sweet.
