Porn king Guccione bust

Quote:

PORN king Bob Guccione has had his £22million home repossessed as he battles bankruptcy.

The founder of Penthouse magazine ? once worth around £200million ? is almost skint, say sources.

Now he has been kicked out of his ?70s-style New York pad, complete with mirrored ceilings, gold chandeliers, indoor pool and marble floors.

Three-times wed Guccione, 75, who has battled throat cancer, failed to repay a £14million bank loan.

JFK 02-06-2006 07:51 AM

Too bad, I liked his magazine way back when. I guess he was the last and the least sucessfull among the big 3, to adapt to the new medium.:2 cents:

KRL 02-06-2006 07:53 AM

Karma rocks!

:thumbsup

King Adam 02-06-2006 07:58 AM

I find it amazing how people can go from rich to broke. Once you are rich you should never ever go broke.

Whats so hard about socking away several million in overseas accounts when you are loaded?

Then you quietly move to mexico or Costa Rica and chill.

jacked 02-06-2006 08:24 AM

thats fucking horrible and they just had him on VH1 or MTV showing off his pimp ass house in NYC... it was out of fucking control

Joesho 02-06-2006 08:34 AM

The lesson here , be careful who you surround yourself with when / if you become rich.

Like you knew the man...

When you will accomplish 1/1000 of what he did, then you can trash talk...

Until then :321GFY

True... Ironically, I have a
Penthouse Partners at the top of this page while I'm typing...

Few years ago, with Carl Wachter, we were trying to convince him to go ahead with a cash program.... Bob was a true Old School...

Needless to say that I was very happy to see Penthouse back on track with the new Management. Actually, Mike is doing a wonderfull job :thumbsup

Joesho 02-06-2006 08:49 AM

Mike seemed like a very intuitive person and one that is working hard to get the internet side of Penthouse back in order. I am sure he will do well for them.

I just wish his hands were not so tied.

sfera 02-06-2006 08:53 AM

well its his fault, you cant be irresponsible with your money

RayBonga 02-06-2006 09:00 AM

This could actually be a lesson to all of us that drive around in supercars we can barely afford.

What I'm I saying this could never happen to us.

You think?? :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

I can count, tho it's only on one hand, the number of people who were multi-millionaires and screwed it - it's not too hard. You may be surprised that some of em lost via "external reasons" which were mainly outside their control.

As a person, Bob is a nice guy - pehaps too nice when there a leeches and scumbags hanging on. Last time I met him was almost 20 years ago - and there were financial problems then and doubt the rot was cut out at that time . Ya can drift on for decades in a rut as long as their are funds to support it, but the crunch time comes eventually.

Bob will do nicely despite the crap - when you are in mid 70's and got a few mill, who gives a shit? It's still more than the wannabees on GFY will ever have :)

tony286 02-06-2006 09:53 AM

this should be a lesson how no planning and uncontroled spending can ruin anyone.

How do we know he doesn't have a few mil hiding somewhere???

G-Rotica 02-06-2006 10:46 AM

I'd stash a lot if I had that kind of cash.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 02-06-2006 10:46 AM
