Mideast War = Good... Seriously.
 

Thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and discuss some politics since that's now GFY's primary focus.

Anyway. Who besides me thinks an open, large scale regional conflict in the mideast would be a GOOD thing?

Here's my point:

I'm all for it because these old scores, hatreds and resentments need to be settled once and for all. That is, unless we all wanna be dealing with this same shit 75 years from now.

I think it's been proven that no serious or widespread political and social change will EVER come to that area through diplomacy or simple cultural evolution. The only way it WILL come, imho; is through the barrel of a gun.

I say fight it out now, instead of in 20 years; when they ALL have nukes.

I guess this is perhaps a moot point, as I'm fairly certain that this war is inevitable and imminent.

No I think a simple compulsory neutering would be less expensive.

That would be cool, but it would STILL involve alot of guns.

thats a stupid solution, I say wait for the young generation to grow up, they will not be as clouded as the current adult generations.

That's the problme. Now the cat is out of the bag... Pandora's Box has been opened. This will not be over in a year, 5 years, 10 years, etc. This war is going to be ongoing for MANY, MANY years to come... mark my words.

israel would throw the bomb, at any arab country that is going to take over the country, Pakistan would throw one at any one if they are losing and most likely throw one at india for good measure, saudi arabia most likely has a bomb thanks to the chinese.. we know they have a missile system. syria would throw gas around since they dont have the bomb but would join in to flex muscle as well. No middle eastern war would fuck things up royally for us in the west. Unless you wish to see oil at 300 dollars a barrel.
and ultimately... the world go up as one arab would blame the other until they figure out the way to blame the west, or israel again.. then its starts all over again.

Armed conflicts will not settle century-old differences. It willl only make matters worse.

Dude they aren't in america... Democracy wouldn't work there... never in the current situation.
