Religeous Cartoons
 

So lets see...

For centuries demeaning cartoons of the Jewish Faith, Catholic Faith and about every religeon on the planet have been depicted but we goto stop the press from publicating cartoons of the Islamic god Mohammed guised as a terrorist?

I have seen movies that depict religeous authorities from the Pope to a small Priest in the most negative ways imaginable. I have seen massive amounts and seen tons of anti religeous statements in my life in media from cartoons to actual film.

Lets take "Passion Of The Christ" for example.

What if a movie were made called "Passion of Mohammed"?

At any rate what I am seeing today that is VERY disturbing are free westernised governments bowing to the will of Islamic demands regarding silly depictions of thier god.

What you are seeing are Western Governments bowing to Islamic Pressure and condoning censorship openning the door to further censorships in the future.

Those cartoons would only "incite religious or ethnic hatreds" in those that would use the cartoons as an excuse to commit violence. These same people will always find one excuse or another to cause mayhem no matter what.

Civilized moderates would see the cartoons as an opportunity to invite dialogue and discussion, rather than burning shit down and commiting violent acts.

Dispite all riots and so forth if you have seen these cartoons, they are thought provoking, intelligent and appropriate for the times.

Sure maybe its Islams darkest day but something needs to be learned from the events that inspired the depictions themselves in the first place.

When I saw them I thought "How accurate" the statements are.
