the more I feel like I want to resign from my christian church.
I am, and never have been, a religious person. I just am part of the church as almost everyone, baptised and shit.. I haven't been to a church in over a decade though, except sighseeing in paris... :P

But I am seriously seriously starting to dislike ALL organized religion.
Religion = Bad
Extremely religious people = blind and easily controllable

I'm gonna become a satanist or buddhist.. for real.
(besides, then I don't have to pay church-tax, like 1% or so ;)

Moslems have been fighting the ?Holy War? for the past several hundred years. Many people of the Moslem faith take extremist views. As do many other religions. Man corrupts religion; thus, religion is corrupt. However, it does not mean God is corrupt. I guess it lies in each of us to see the difference. Moreover, more people have died in the name of God than any other reason and more have died in Gods name in the past 100-years than anytime period in history.

Exactly the point and one so many miss. Extreme Christians worry me just as much as extreme Muslims. Religion fucks people up period. Extremists in any area of society are even more fucked up, but this is even more true of religion than most other areas.

Add religious brain washing to the media sensationalising and inciting hatred and you have huge problems the world over. But then I've said it before - that was Osamas goal at the start and the idiots continue to buy into it and do his work for him (idiots on all sides of the fence ie from Muslims to the Christian right wing and those who believe all they read).

BTW - I was reading up on Buddism and it's quite a cool 'religion'. It actually makes sense in many of it's teachings which is amazing for any religion.

Yeah, I'm planning on buying some more books about it. It's not a religion as much as it's a philosophy.
I just gonna finish my bible and koran before I start on that. :)

As weird is as it sounds, coming from a 'christian' mouth, the koran makes a lot more sense than the bible.. if only people wouldn't follow it to the letter.. :(
