Nuking the whole lot may be a tad OTT - but they are seriously getting on my tits.

Without them the world wouldnt be a bad place ATM - the Cold War is over and with the exception of a few countries that have ideas above their station things would be cool.

We could then worry about (and have the money to deal with) some of the important issues like AIDs, hunger etc.

With the mass exodus going on there these days of frightened, regular people, the only thing left in Iraq will be US soldiers and terrorists.

So if you pull out, you're left with a country populated by terrorists. If you stay, you have continued war. A pretty fucked up situation either way.

The reality of what is happening in Iraq is not what's being touted so favorably by Washington.

I was talking to a guy in a coffee shop whose son is over there and he said he heard its a total fragile scene with the insurgents completely in control of many areas that our guys stay out of. I think its going to erupt into a violent civil war soon.

The main problem is we don't have enough troops to police an entire country.

For example it takes over 50,000 police officers just to maintain law and order in New York City. So how can anyone expect to police an entire country with just 3 to 4 times that size force like we have in Iraq now. Its physically and logistically an impossible task to succeed in.

USA, particularly that of Bush Administartion, need not pretend the role of being the "police of the universe"

with your shortsightedness and backwards logic, its easy to see why men.com is such an abortion. the general military focus in iraq has been to assist them in developing and training their own police forces and own military so they can take care of their own security which they are doing and have been doing since day 1 and Iraq does have their own police and their own military and take a larger and larger role in their own security every month.
