Ad Design for Newpaper needed!

I need someone to make a professional sexy (non nude) ad for my site shemadeavideo.com, this will be a news paper advertisment (not online) so you must know how to do this in terms of news paper requirements.

The size I need is: 400x400 color ad

If your interested in taking on this task please email me at [email protected], you will be hired to do future advertisments as well. Visit the site and show me your portfolio.

BlueDesignStudios 02-05-2006 03:39 AM

we can help you out. We'll need some more details than that though! If you like our portfolio please drop me an email :)

shemadeavideo 02-05-2006 06:06 AM

I can't believe you guys just sent me a 600.00 quote blue design, that ad better have gold leafing on it. Please don't email me over blown prices like that. I have people wanting to do it for under 150 bucks and even thats too much. I'm sorry to be rude here but I think most webmasters would say thats just too much. :)

I would have considered the work - but after reading your public reply above to BlueDesign...I decided I wouldn't want any quote I gave you to be publicly ridiculed (especially without providing details of your ad requirements and whatnot).

Nice second post to GFY. :(

IDIOT!! :error

$150 is too much?? Try MS Paint...

pindrop 02-05-2006 12:13 PM

you get what you pay for..... i've found this out the hard way many times!

anyway... good luck

shemadeavideo 02-06-2006 08:04 AM

I think my public reply to BD was warranted due to the fact there are so many people out there willing to rip people off. People think because they are new to a board they are nieve. The reason I posted it was to not expose them and their quote but was to allow them to reflect on themselves. I have asked for many quotes in the past from BD and they are always way more expensive then the other 98 percent of the companies out there. Also freak bucks you should mind your own business. Arent you guys posted on affiliatescams for shaving traffic and signups? I would keep your nose out of others business and leave your comments to yourself thankyou very much! Why would I pay 600 for a graphic when 10 other people will do it for under 100.

No FAGOT!, I said 100-150 was reasonable. Not no 600 tho.. you should be lucky someone like me is willing to open their mouth else all you baby winers out there would still be paying through the nose for a simple graphic. And BTW I dont use MS Paint, I used Adobe CS. Why don't you go use some Huggies i hear their most obsorbant.

I never asked you for a quote, so don't flatter yourself. And let me once again say, Im not looking for gallery work, Im looking for someone to make a few attractive news print ads for me. A news print ad is alot diffrent then a gallery or online banner. It needs to meet newsprint requirements first off, and 2nd of all it can't contain nudity. If you have what it takes just email me, if you've never done newprint ads before, don't bother.

Throughout the 80s I worked as a paste-up/layout artist, typesetter and layout artist for several large lithoprint firms across Toronto, which often included designing 4-color ads for magazines, books and occasionally newspaper advertisements. Companies such as Entire Reprodux, Middleton Advertising, Paragon, Independent Litho and J.A. McKeown Graphics were among some of the places I worked.

Since then I've gone on to create award-winning graphics, illustrations and photography in the adult industry for my own company Kastle Archives Productions Inc.

But all of that doesn't matter.

Judging by your abusive public demeanor and the extremely unprofessional way you've treated people in this thread, I wouldn't consider giving your offer a second thought.

As others have already said, you'll harvest what you sow and reap what you pay for.

Good luck in working with all those "under $100" designers who will tolerate your horseshit personality.

XX_RydeR 02-06-2006 09:14 AM

Lmao, is this a joke's thread ?

Platinumpimp 02-06-2006 09:18 AM

A few recent designs of mine were featured in the magazine "Revenue" (Wealth / Financial ads).

Full page ads.

Hit me up for details so we can discuss business. ICQ: 168844248

Platinumpimp 02-06-2006 09:20 AM

But my ads don't go for anything under $400 either. So don't even bother, because I read your 2nd reply. Fucktard. Bluedesignstudios are good people, you think you can sit for a penny on the front row? :321GFY

ROTFLMAO!

This is in reply to seeing the Freakbucks avatar graphic that gets randomly added below usernames on the sidebar.

First of all, you get what you pay for. Let me predict what's going to happen: You're going to look around until you find someone who will do it for like $50-$100 dollars. The will accept the job and the end result might even look like a profession ad (very doubtful). Then you are going to send it off to the news paper company to have it published in the next addition. When the edition comes out you are going to open the paper with great excitement, find your ad, and discover "Hey, wtf? Why does it look like shit? It looked so good the other day?". The reason that it looks like shit is because the graphics design "genius" that you hired to do it so cheap didn't realize that print ads need to be made using 300dpi instead of the digital standard of 72dpi. Also, they didn't optimize the colors or shading for the newspaper's carbon processing...... THAT is why professionals charge more, not because we are trying to "scam a newbie". There is a lot more to print design than meets the eye :2 cents:

What kind of assclown are you, slandering a design studio for a fucking quote they gave you.

If you're not interested just move on you fucking drama queen. :thumbsup

sfera 02-06-2006 11:32 AM

usa today bro, they do it for yyou for cheap :)

shemadeavideo 02-06-2006 05:31 PM

If you know all these companies then why aren't you still working for them? Prob cause you got fired or something. Listen you 2 bit wanna be. The project called for a simple 400x400 graphic for alternative type news papers that I am looking to advertise in. Im not looking to run magazine ads with top quality layout work. I realize something like this costs alot of cash to do. Its not what I wanted. I simply wanted a graphic, the 1st quote I got was from BD which was an unheard of amount of money for a f-ing banner ad basicially. Would you pay 600 bucks for a half page banner ad for your website? I dont thinkso. So go take your self huggies obsorbant ass to another sub. I dont care what you have done, or who you have worked for. This is not an ad for National Geographic dumb ass.

I am going to stop posting in here if you all can't shut your mouths. I am free to post whatever I like and any information on anyone such as quotes. I found someone to do the work already anyway.

why would I pay 600 for something like this:
shemadeavideo.com/images/smvad1.jpg
I did this myself for free!!! And if I was doing design work, I wouldn't rip anyone off like this, I would prob charge a reasonable price of say 50 bucks for this graphic. If your gonna try and rip people off, you should be exposed thats all!. If my hardware guy sells me a 800 camode, and I find a nicer one at home depot for 300, Im going back for my money and to give him a piece of my mind.. Hell I prob wouldn't even shop there again!. Get my Drift!

Also I think I specified this in the first post. Listen, I got someone now doing the ads at a reasonable rate, and they look good, please dont email me looking to pass your services, this sub can be closed.

1. I don't recall ever offering our services, so you can rest assured that I won't be emailing you "looking to pass our services" and trust me when I say that you couldn't afford our rates.

2. I am glad that you found someone willing to do it for a "reasonable" price and I sincerely hope that it turns out well.

lmao...why not just post your budget for this project instead of rediculing designers on board...

have you ever thought why ferrari is way too expensive than any other local car?
oh come on dude.. if you don't like the offer, you just say no....

btw.. goodluck , still!

Oh my...I feel so insulted now. I really do. To suffer the (misspelled) verbal slings and arrows handed out by an individual that comes across as a 10-year-old witless noob with the demonstrated low-brow intellect of a gnat.

Run along now child. Resist the urge to post further erroneous assumptions, sandbox insults and other comments that only serve to illustrate what a colossal fucktard you really are.

The verdict is in...you're not welcome here.
